Yes it’s like paying it forward. The movie of that name is inspirational. I like the acronym ARK (Acts of Random Kindness) to describe what I try to do. They can cost nothing such as a smile, a kind word, or helping someone carrying things or, as you say, letting someone unknown discover a surprise.
