#100WCGU – Wk77 – Prompt: …oh my goodness! I nearly forgot… – 106 words – “Cheeky”

14 Feb

I was sitting at the computer when little six walked into the room, “Oh my goodness! I nearly forgot.”

She ran out of the room before soon returning, “Oh my goodness! I nearly forgot.”

To my amusement, this little event repeated a few more times, “What did you forget?”

Her response, “Oh my goodness! I nearly forgot.”

I tried a different question, “What are you doing?”

With a cheeky grin, “I’m pretending to be Nanna. She says that a lot.”

It was true, Nanna was getting forgetful, “You cheeky monkey. Come here and give me a hug.”

She ran over, “Oh my goodness! I nearly forgot.”

      Thanks for the comment.

I was thinking of my nieces and nephew when that age. 🙂

      Thanks for the comment, Hollie.

You may know I am on the 100 Word Challenge team (Team 100WC) looking at student entries in the weekly challenge. This blog is where I share my love of writing for two similar challenges for adult writers. When I see a prompt, I try to look at it in more unusual ways, sometimes funny and sometimes sad. While not always good stories, the fun is in the writing. 🙂
