Saturday Centus – Wk#122 – Prompt: “Are you ready for some football?” – 106 words – “Existence”

02 Sep

Existence as an eternal can be tedium. You reach the stage where you have done everything, been everywhere and existed every when. Distraction can break the monotony.

“Are you ready for some football?” another asked.

Mind you, our football isn’t what you might know. We are talking galactic, universal scale.

“Kickoff!”

One elliptical galaxy moved towards another. In your time scale it might seem a long time but billions of years mean nothing to us.

“Touchdown!”

As the two galaxies interacted, their stars were drawn out. Two spiral galaxies were formed.

New stars had been born. I was reminded once again of the beauty of existence.

Thanks for the comment and my apologies for the late reply to your comment.

I’m not really a fan of any football code so I steered my thoughts in a different direction to the obvious.

That was some kind of Kickoff and Touchdown!

      Thanks for the comment.

I suppose many myths in cultures throughout time started as a simple story and ended up taking on greater meaning when retold. 🙂

      Thanks for the comment.

A game of football seemed to obvious in itself so I thought why not add greater scale and consequence. 🙂

      Thanks for the comment.

For someone not a fan of football, I was looking for a different direction. 🙂

What a unique and wonderful piece of writing.

    I love this theory!

And I’m thinking you’re onto something.

    Cute and clever writing here.

Thanks for the reply and my apologies for the lateness of reply to your comment. I am entering a particularly busy period of filming/DVD production for local schools and community groups so time becomes short. 🙂

Just an idea in the story… no evidence or proof so a ‘theory’ it’s not. 🙂
