The Task: “You are to use the last 10 words of the post next to yours and using just 100 words create a story. It may be a follow-on from the previous one or you may like to take it in a different direction.”
The Source: “Autumn Goes Sky Diving” appearing on the blog “HURTLED TO 60 AND NOW BEYOND…”
The 10 Words: “ a sense of exhilaration swept over her as they landed “

A sense of exhilaration swept over her as they landed. Autumn felt herself being unbuckled by Harry. She turned to thank him for her skydiving experience but joy turned to surprise.
“I’m late,” a white rabbit said. “We must go.”
Too confused to resist, the rabbit hopped along with Autumn in tow.
“Are you Alice’s White Rabbit?” Autumn asked.
“Alice who? We’re late!”
Before she could stop him, Autumn was pulled into a hole. She was falling, this time without Harry.
She felt herself being shaken, “Autumn, are you alright?”
“Huh?”
It was Harry, “You passed out as we landed.”

Oh brilliant Ross! What a grand adventure for Autumn. I wasn’t sure how you were going to bring it to an end but the novel can continue! Thank you so much for joining this particular but of silliness!

Thanks for the comment.
The original story was very well written and made a continuation a simple task. My leaning towards fantasy came into part 2. 🙂

Ross this is really wonderful. I think the prompt really worked for the continuation of Autumn’s story.

Thanks for the comment.
The prompt was very well set up for a continuation, unlike the last 10 words of mine. I must admit, I was in a rush and didn’t notice the need to allow a continuation after the story in my entry.

Thanks for the comment.
I had to sneak the White Rabbit somewhere into the continuation. 🙂

I’m sorry I have taken so long to reply. I always like a little fantasy to break day to day reality. 🙂

I’m sorry I have taken so long to reply. I didn’t realise I had missed some comments. If at any time you find my stories of any use, feel free to make use of them. Short stories come into existence quickly and can be lost the same way unless people make use of them. 🙂
