100 WCGU – Week #24 – 50 words – Theme: The Season – “Jolly Season” Part 1

26 Dec

“Tis the season to be jolly…” the voices sang.

Looking back on the year past, I considered the reasons why the year might not be so jolly; bills to pay, deadlines to meet, and then there was some illness.

“Merry Christmas,” a smiling child.

Joy quickly returns, “Merry Christmas, sweetheart.”

So true that even Santa in his Grotto has a reality to go home to. Well done.

It is remarkable that even in the midst of negative thoughts, the smile of a child can chase away all the gloom. So….. who’s going to finish this one off?

What’s better than a child’s smile to remind us of what’s really important. 🙂

Love the change of emotions from joy to despair and back to joy in just 50 words!

Mixed emotions can be very much a part of the season.

I like this simple entry Ross. It does speak the truth of what life is like but also reminds us of Christmas! Well done for having another go!

      Thanks for the comment.

We do sometimes need reminders of what’s important when normal life impinges. 🙂
